The Faculty of Economics offers various courses taught in English for economics majors. These courses provide our students with opportunities to learn practical academic English and pursue their study of economic issues in English.

Programme in Economics for Alliances, Research and Leadership (PEARL)

The Faculty of Economics started an all-English four-year programme in September 2016. Its goal is to turn out dynamic leaders with a firm intellectual foundation in economics, who will be globally active in different professions.

Professional Career Programme (PCP)

The Professional Career Programme (PCP) was established inside the Faculty of Economics at Keio University in 2005. The programme offers an opportunity for third and fourth year students, principally in the Faculty of Economics, to receive a practical economics education in English. Students who earn credits for all the necessary classes receive a PCP Certificate upon graduation.

In addition to PEARL and PCP, the Faculty of Economics offers the Double Degree Programme with Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris ("Sciences Po") and Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), and exchange programmes open only to students in this faculty. (The Double Degree Programme with Bocconi is for undergraduate students at Keio and Master-level graduate students at Bocconi.)

GIC (Global Interdisciplinary Courses)

The Global Interdisciplinary Courses (GIC) offers interdisciplinary courses in English for all undergraduate students at Keio. Students who satisfy the requirements receive a GIC certificate.
