Scholarships provided by Keio University
These scholarships are provided by Keio University. In principle, application and screening can be conducted only after admission to Keio University. For more information about scholarships, please visit the Keio website.
Scholarships provided by Independent Administrative Institution Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) is an independent administrative institution established under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho).

Scholarships provided by private foundations/local governments
There are various other scholarship programs operated by approximately 100 organizations. Applications for all scholarships are accepted after admission to Keio.

ADB-JSP Scholarship
This Asian Development Bank (ADB) – Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) was launched in 2005. Up to a maximum of ten Keio University students can receive the scholarship. Recipients will be selected from among successful applicants to the Master’s Program at Keio University, and those who wish to receive the scholarship.

Others
- Adjunct Researcher (Part-time)
Adjunct Researchers (Part-time) are mainly assigned to teaching assistance. This financial support enables recipients to gain privileges nearly equal to the cost of tuition, as well as a monthly stipend of 50,000 yen, to allow them to concentrate on their studies and research.
Eligibility
Students enrolled in the first or second year of the Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Economics, or students who intend to take the entrance examination for the Doctoral program for the subsequent academic year
Length of Employment
One year (Renewed a maximum of twice)
- Research Associates (Non-Tenured)
This system was established for the purpose of promoting career development for young researcher at Keio. Research Associates (Non-Tenured) are mainly assigned to research and research assistance, as well as taking charge of courses.
Eligibility
Students who have completed the Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Economics, Keio University, regardless of whether or not they possess a doctoral degree, and who have outstanding research ability and will have been enrolled in the Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Economics for between three and six full years at the beginning of their employment
Length of Employment
One year (Renewed a maximum of twice)
