Professor Emeritus Ikuo Koike was awarded the Honorary Membership of the　International Association of Applied Linguistics.
The Honorary AILA( International Association of Applied Linguistics) Mebership is awarded to a person who has made an exceptional contribution to AILA and to the field of applied linguistics and is granted to only one person per year since AILA was founded in 1964.
