要旨

Problems and possibilities of Sub-Saharan African agriculture would be argued. After introducing the paper, in part 1, general statistics as well as agricultural statistics of African countries would be described, and also historical agricultural approach of the region would be explained. In part 2, certain countries, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania would be chosen as specific countries that explain the failure of African nations. Finally, in part 3, four factors would be picked up, technology, market, law and social structure, and possible solution as well as future prospect of the Sub-Saharan countries would be argued.
