BA/MA Five Year Programme with Bocconi University
The Faculty of Economics has an agreement with Bocconi University (Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi) for a combined BA/MA Five Year Programme. Students enrolled in the Faculty of Economics can apply. Students who satisfy the graduation requirements of both institutions will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Keio and a master’s degree from Bocconi. Successful applicants are accepted into one of the four graduate school programs of their choice, and the actual title of the master’s degree awarded by Bocconi University will be an MSc in respective fields: Management; Marketing Management; Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment; Economics and Social Sciences.

- Type A/B students refers to students whose study at Keio begins in April and whose principal language of tuition is Japanese.
The curriculum at Bocconi includes a 10 to 12 week mandatory internship. While all classes except for Italian language classes are offered in English, students must pass an elementary-level (A2) Italian language proficiency exam to fulfill the requirement for a master’s degree.
About Bocconi University
Established in Milan, Italy, in 1902, Bocconi University is the first higher education institution in Italy to confer degrees in economics. Approximately 4,000 students are enrolled in its graduate school where one out of eight students comes from abroad.
Bocconi University has international exchange programmes with Keio University at both the university and the Faculty of Economics levels. The BA Double Degree Programme, launched in 2015, has further stimulated student exchanges between the two institutions. Moreover, both Keio University and Bocconi University are member schools of the CEMS MIM programme.

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements at the time they apply to this Programme:
- Be a Keio student enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and have successfully completed at least the first five semesters in the case of PEARL students, and at least the first six semesters in the case of Type A/B students;
- a TOEFL iBT score of 100 or IELTS 7.0 or more*i);
- demonstrate an excellent academic performance; and
- expected to acquire a total of 114 credits for PEARL students*ii), and 126 credits for Type A/B students, that can be counted towards Keio graduation requirement by the time they start the master’s programme at Bocconi.
- i)PEARL students are exempted from the English requirement.
- ii)Make sure you obtain 12 Core Course credits and sufficient credits for Advanced Courses while at Keio. When transferring credits earned at Bocconi to Keio, no more than 6 credits could be recognized as credits for Advanced Courses.

Programme Fee
Tuition:
For the first of the two years of study at Bocconi, students from Keio will pay their tuition fees to Keio and will be exempted from paying tuition fees for Bocconi. For the second year, they will pay regular yearly MSc tuition fees to Bocconi (€12,711 per year in 2017/18).
Living expenses:
Approximately 150,000 yen (€900–1350 in total; €500–900 for housing, €200–250 for food and other expenses). Students are required to purchase medical insurance (approximately 170,000 yen per year).
